I will try my best to give this movie justice but I can tell you right now you're better off watching the film and then watching
these videos. They're an extremely in-depth study into this film and if you care about creative writing at all you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching it.
Synedoche, New York is an art-house film created by Charlie Kaufman. It features a man named Caden Cotard and shows us the human condition by letting us observe the life of a struggling artist.
A lot of the film isn't literal and a lot of times it comes off like some sort of dream and it's a little hard to follow at times. However in the last ten minutes of the film all the pieces started to come together
for me. The amount of detail that goes into this film is honestly unbelievable. I speak no hyperbole when I say there's not a single movie in existence similar to this at all. It's a film making marvel that deserves far more recognition it gets.
That's all you're getting from me. If you want to know more please watch the movie and then look up "The Genius of Synedoche, New York" on YouTube.
