Despite being illegally stacked by conservatives the SCOTUS just managed to make a humane ruling, possibky a token one.
Feeding the homeless and poor is protected under the first amendment and cannot be criminalized.
I have fought religious organizations in america trying to impose their values on americans thru force of law, and I have supported them when they were doing actual good. I've seen police arresting elderly pastors trying ti feed the homeless and longed to give them a taste of pepperspray or a taser.
I'm pleasantly shocked by this act of humanity and decency from our SCOTUS. I'm glad to see freedom of religion being applied to something besides gay bashing, discrimination, etc.
I'd like to see more of this sort of thing and I hope this ruling sees more chruch goers helping the needy. And I will always support them doing this sort of thing.
