Hanniger! I'll be waiting in HELL for you!

Hey folks.
Just watched the new PRESS YOUR LUCK series-- based on the 1983-1986 series-- and I just don't like the direction these new game shows have taken.  Maybe I"m just a bitter old man but I prefer the more restrained, professional look of the older game shows with the contestants and hosts dressed in suits/dresses, and not dancing around looking like a complete fool after one successful spin.  They kept the original whammy animation style, which looks very bad and dated on the new show.  It's hard for me to get enthused about it (Peter Tomarken is sorely missed, RIP) but the final round where $1,000,000 is given to a player who can survive long enough against the whammy is kind of interesting.

Talk about this or any other version of PYL in the series, like:

Watched the new version for a few minutes, laughed at one of the whammy's new jokes, then turned it off.

The old version was a show I could watch-not not need to see.  Something that was on when I was home sick from school.

There was another version on the Game Show Network that did a bit more to update some things.  The whammy animation was done in 3D model animation which looked like it fit better in the modern era but the jokes where done with far more pop culture references that date the show even more.

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...
