Hi again all-
I saw this movie maybe 10-15 years ago now, and my brain places it somewhere in the late 90s or early 00s. I don't remember if it's a feature or a short - I think I might have seen it on one of those IFC film festival series that they used to run when they actually had, y'know, anything to do with independent films. If it's a short, that would help explain why I can't find anything on it anymore.
From what I remember, there was a corporation that was paying local homeless people to tattoo the company logo on their foreheads. It continues to escalate from there and I think I remember them putting chips in the homeless peoples' brains to either listen in on them or control their actions or something. It was very art house, very much like early Darren Aronofsky. But not him, I'm pretty sure. It's like a slightly future or slightly dystopian urban setting.
I went to Google this and apparently it's actually a real thing that is happening now with actual companies and actual homeless people, so I couldn't get any search results about the film I saw years ago. I then wept for humanity.
If anyone remembers this one and can chip in, I'd greatly appreciate it. It came up in a discussion at work and then I couldn't find it, so naturally it's driving me crazy.
Thanks!
