I liked most of these films: otherwise I would need to go for therapy somewhere  Wink

One of my guilty pleasure films is on that list

I think I'm also one of the few film fans in the world who likes Uwe Boll (or Uncle Uwe as I call him)  Smile

I have at least three of Uwe Boll's movies in my collection (that one, In The Name of the King and its name slips my mind, but the one with the vampire woman), oh and House of the DEad, all of which have bigger name actors than you'd expect.

You know its easy to rip on small,  cheap movies that had no budget or production resources.

Maybe we could start a thread on big budget movies that we're ghawdawful?

He also made the emotionally draining film Darfur in SA: I was at the premiere in 2010 and I cried at the end: very upsetting, very violent but also very uplifting.

That is the Scottish actor David O'Hara playing a very, very good guy for once.

Feel free to make the topic, if you want to.

However I actually enjoyed Temple of Doom and Batman and Robin.

I do actually enjoy Uwe Boll films to a certain degree (talking about the video game knock off's here, I have not seen his other movies). I watch them expecting to see fairly big name actors slumming it, cheesy lines and bad acting. He does not disappoint in this. I mean there are many terrible films and not just ones directed by him that I watch for that, be it that hammy classic Lifeforce (awful film but great fun to watch). On the other hand, there are films I refuse to even watch like The Human Centipede.

Agree on Temple of Doom, found it an enjoyable adventure romp. Batman & Robin makes me shudder though at the thought of watching it again lol.

There's a lot of bad going on in Uwe's films, but while I can enjoy a good bad movie (or else I wouldn't be here) Boll's movie just strike me as especially bland.

It feels like body is really making any effort.  It also lacks the spark of real incompetence that would make it enjoyable.  The movie just feel like they're going through the motions.

Surprisingly, the movie isn't as exploitative and gross one would think it is. I thought it was a fun and "risky" little mad doctor B-movie, with plenty of old school euro-cheese charm. Dieter Laser as the mad doc delivers a superb campy performance.

I never bothered with the sequels though.

I think just reading about the 'swallow it' part was gross enough to put me off thanks.

I can see how this might be off putting  BounceGiggle but I personally thought the movie wasn't too explicit or graphic. Ah well :)

isn't it AWFUL, lol? i loved the caveman&woman coming out of the tarpit!

RC, i agree, and it's the same for food. and restaurants/bars too. i was poking around looking for places to eat in key west and found several of the clickbait sites. after looking at them, i went to yelp, lo and behold, almost every one on the clickbait lists had TERRIBLE reviews from real people. then i talked to some locals, and they told me about places the locals eat at, or drink at, not a one on the clickbait sites. and the locals are very grateful for that! so am i, we'll be able to dodge the other tourists and have decent food and drink without the crowds.

Same list you see everywhere. It's amazing how much people enjoy repeating stuff without actually watching the movies or knowing why "they suck". At least they didn't included THE ROOM.

I remember watching CATWOMAN and enjoying it. Yeah, it was retarded, but nowhere near as bad as BATMAN AND ROBIN or BATMAN VS SUPERMAN.
HOWARD THE DUCK was silly but, again, not that bad. And DISASTER MOVIE? Why that particular one? There's like 10 others like it that are the same garbage, like MEET THE SPARTANS or EPIC MOVIE.

I would've included TOLKIEN, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, and my most hated of all times: JUMPERBounceGiggle
