Hey folks.
What do you usually eat/drink while watching a movie at the theater?  How about while at home?  Is it the usual buttery popcorn and soda, or maybe a box of Junior Mints?  Milk Duds?  Hot Dog?  Nachos?  What size?  Details!
Me, I just get the usual largest size of popcorn with butter flavor (I eat most of it by the time the previews are over!), and a large Coke or Cherry Coke.  If the movie wasn't super late I'll go back and get my free refill of popcorn to take home with me.
Show concessions-related pics or videos if you like!  Or maybe memories of what you used to eat when you were a kid.

At the theater: popcorn + large coke is all I need. I tried eating hot food (pizza) at the theater once but is was too distracting for me.
At home it's either microwave popcorn or chips. Sometimes nothing at all.

I very rarely go to the cinema, but when I do, I'll probably go for ye olde popcorn with soda, probably a coke.
At home, we drink mate. But then again, we drink that all day.  TeddyR
This is mate btw:

At a movie theater, I MUST have:

* The super amazing jumbo size popcorn
* A carbonated beverage

(sometimes, I will also have Milk Duds, Gummy Bears and/or Jujy Fruits . . . but they are not "must have" snacks)

At home, I usually have one or more of these:

* Popcorn
* Milk Duds
* Gummy Bears
* Jujy Fruits
* Ice Cream
* Some sort of salty snack like potato chips, Doritos, Cheetos, Cheez-Its . . .

At the theater: popcorn--but since I started watching my weight only the smallest bag they offer (kid's sizes if they offer them), and I won't finish the whole thing if it's too big. Popcorn is incredibly high in calories, even without butter topping. Lately I've been getting zero calorie vitamin water for my drink. If I'm going to use up my calorie allotment I'd rather spend it on dinner, but movie theater popcorn is an indulgence I rarely pass up.

At home I will almost always have an adult beverage or two or three, usually beer, sometimes bourbon on the rocks and occasionally I'll make a cocktail. Once a week on movie nights I'll also have a bag of low-cal microwave popcorn--nowhere near as good as the real stuff, but it satisfies the craving.

Hotdog with onions.

There is a special name for hotdogs without onions. They are abominations.

At the movie theater I usually don't buy anything to eat or drink because everything is overpriced and I'm usually not hungry at the times I go to see a film.

When I'm at home when watching a movie I usually have a glass of water close to me. As for food, it depends on what's available and how hungry I am. If there are leftovers in the fridge and I want to eat a meal while watching I'll go for it. If I just want something to snack on I usually go for chips or a pretzels. If it's hot sometimes I'll go to a Dairy Queen less than a block from where I live and get ice cream.

At home I don't eat much of nothing. (when watching films).
Mebbe raisin bran with milk and toast. And then I go to sleep. I'm old now. I don't give a f**k about food.

I won't disagree with that. Saurkraut and mustard helps too.

As a kid in the cinema: Coke and potato chips in a bag. Occasionally there were hot dogs. This was in the 80s, and there were video game arcades near the cinema, which made for a fun day out.

As an adult: usually a choc-top ice cream (peppermint or banana) and peach ice tea, if anything. I usually go to an independent cinema chain that serves alcohol, and you can take glasses of wine into the theatre, but I don't drink.

On rare occasions, I've eaten hot food in the cinema. One time we smuggled in Portuguese chicken burgers and chips. Another time, we ordered rice paper dumplings and had them brought in during Kill Bill Vol 2 (this was in the luxury theatre Gold Class, part of the Village cinemas in Australia).

we don't go to theaters, but at home, curtis generally has popcorn, koolaid and cookies. i have beer, some kind of nut, and cheese& crackers, mainly. occasionally, if it's a marathon day, i throw in some mini reese's and starbursts.
   we usually put the marathon on hold and have supper while we watch the news, then start another movie afterwards.

I haven't been in a movie theater in at least a few years... I know I was in one August 13, 2014 and saw THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY (didn't care for it) and I expect I would have smuggled in (or bought there) Milk Duds and/or DOTS.

If I'm in a theater, just normal popcorn and soda.  At home-whatever I want.
