best non-Bond movie by actors who played James Bond?

what is your favourite non-James Bond movie which stars (or heavily features) any actor who played James Bond?

I think I have to go for HOT FUZZ. not a film which seems universally liked round here, but Timothy Dalton's evil supermarket owner is bad-guy perfection, imo.

Sir Sean Connery: The Hill, Murder On The Orient Express and the very disturbing The Offence, all three directed by Sidney Lumet.

George Lazenby: well, OHMSS was actually his career, wasn't it?

Sir Roger Moore: The Man Who Haunted Himself and The Wild Geese.

Timothy Dalton: Hot Fuzz was good, also Hawks and Wuthering Heights.

Pierce Brosnan: The Long Dong Good Friday and The Foreigner.

Daniel Craig: definitely not a fan

not seen any of those connery ones. out of the few of his I have seen, HIGHLANDER 2 and ZARDOZ stand out. not a fan of THE ANDERSON TAPES or some weird outer space one he did in early 80s.

THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF is cool

George Lazenby was also in the craptastic DEATH DIMENSION which is well worth checking out (weirdly the guy who played Oddjob in DR NO is in it too)

can't say I'm a fan of Daniel Craig either. he comes off more like an evil Bond henchman than a Bond, imo!

He played John Stamos' super-secret-agent Dad in 1986's craptastic "Never Too Young to Die"...

Connery: He's one of those guys who is always good, even if the movie he's in sucks. He's been in too many movies for me to pick a favorite. (Tho the one I've revisited most recently was The Rock, in which he played the World's Oldest Bad-Ass)

For Roger Moore, I can't think of non-Bond roles he's had that weren't trading on his 007 notoriety (see: Cannonball Run)

Outside of his two Bond flicks, I think I liked Timothy Dalton best as the bad guy in The Rocketeer.

I think the only non-Bond film I've seen Daniel Craig in was The Invasion, a "Body Snatchers" update from the early 00s, and quite frankly I focused mainly on Nicole Kidman's tight sweaters during that movie so I barely remember him being in it. :D

Craig was in the GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO- which I enjoyed very much! Personally- I like Craig quite a bit. Next to my man Connery , and the campy Moore films of the 70's, I'd rank him 3rd. Brosnan- eh. I always think of the Scarecrow and Mrs. King TV show. Dalton I always imagine him dueting with Mae West...

yeah I'd agree... even if he always seems to adopt more or less the same aura/personality.

don't think I've ever seen THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, but I did have the computer game on the spectrum

Timothy Dalton. The Rockerteer.

Pierce Brosnan. I am tempted to put down Mama Mia as a wind up, but I'll go with The Long Good Friday.

* WHO SAW HER DIE? (1972) - Italian Giallo - - and Lazenby's dialogue is dubbed by another actor

* THE MAN FROM HONG KONG (1975) - Co-starring Sammo Hung and "Jimmy" Wang Yu

I said they are Lazenby movies. I didn't say they are GOOD Lazenby movies.

I still have a sentimental fondness for The Highlander which Connery was in. Munich wasn't bad, with Daniel Craig*. (His cameo torturing the chick in The Force Got Woke was memorable too.)

*My buddy in Austin said, "It was kinda hot when they killed the Dutch assassin when she was mostly nude." I told him he was sick, lol.
