Despite the album cover and some cheeky/cheesy barroom MC interludes, this shows genuine appreciation for the pop-rock sounds of the late 70s/early 80s. If someone told you these were recorded in 1981, you'd believe them. Some really good tunes, too. Evokes Todd Rundgren/Steely Dan/Boz Scaggs/Elton John, that kind of thing.
