Camp (2003)

This scene makes it.

After all, who hasn't non-lethally poisoned someone to move up in the world?

Well, I'm a little embarrassed to say that I absolutely loved THE HOBBIT trilogy. I know what they did wrong and what could've been improved (at the same time, I understand why they did most of the stuff that people brush off as "bad"), and yet... I watched them many times, and every time I happen to stumble across them on TV I simply can't change the channel. Those movies entertained me and filled me with plenty of emotions, while celebrating virtues and values at the same time, just like the Tolkien books, and fantasy in general. I also listen to the beatiful soundtrack a lot, and enjoyed the Middle Earth scenery, which I still think it's spot on.
Personally, I believe it was sistematically attacked by the media and crappy critics, and people respond to that stuff a lot. Even to this day, the bandwagon of hatred or love for something is easily manipulable.

To be honest, the only thing I don't like about those movies is having to explain every time why I love them, it's kinda tiresome.

The original AMERICAN PIE trilogy is one of my guilty pleasures.

To be fair, those movies resurrected the whole kinky comedy genre that sorta spawned with CADDYSHACK, PORKY'S, and all that stuff. Even if someone don't like AMERICAN PIE, its legacy can be denied.

Having said that, I love the first three movies and I think they're actually great. Not ashamed at all.

I usually keep quiet about this one in conversations with my friends.

P.S. If you look closely, it's rather appropriate when you notice which one of them has the sluttiest dance moves.  Cheers

I've noticed a trend over the years from posting on message boards. People get offended when you label movies guilty pleasures. No matter how bad or embarrassing you think the film is, if you enjoy it then there should be no shame in your game.

Another thing I've noticed is classic bad movies suddenly aren't "unintentional funny" anymore, they now call them straight up "comedies". Troll 2 is now a comedy, Showgirls is apparently a clever and funny satire, something the audience didn't "get" back in the day. It is kind of interesting to see how modern audiences perceive those classics.

Watched Showgirls last year. I'd have to say I still don't get it. Still seems just a terrible movie to me lol.

Thanks. I think those who are now praising Showgirls (example) are deluding themselves. I mean, whatever floats your boat.

Maybe it was the first time they got to see I pair of boobs? I dunno. For me, it is a film without any artistic merit and it commits the only real sin a movie can in that it fails to entertain. But hey, if someone out there wants to love it, then more power to them. I just don't see it myself.

Well, to be fair, a lot of cult classics starts as bombs that nobody likes and the magically become the best thing ever, from s**tIZEN KANE to THE BIG LEBOWSKI.
