I watched THE SECRET OF NIMH (1982) last night.  Though it's an animated story with talking animals, and hence implausible aside from its implausibility, I still like it a lot.  JOHN CARRADINE voices The Great Owl and is wonderful in the part.

FANTASTIC PLANET (1973) I remember this trailer on the TV, briefly, but I didn't see the film for at least another 10 years; I'm sure I've got a copy on VHS.   :teddyr:
