I've been on a Golden age of Hollywood kick this year.

MY MAN GODFREY is an amazing film that 70 years later holds up all its themes and characters.

THREE HUSBANDS  is IMHO an under rated gem that still gets a lot of undeserved flack.

THE MAN (1972) Staring James Earl Jones who becomes the first black president in 1972 by a series of fluke accidents.   Its amazing..

ZARDOZ.   I am not kidding. I saw this for the first time just 2 months ago. I put it off until now because I heard it was a terrible movie.   I do not see why it gets this lable. It's a great film.. there are some moments where it drags...but yeah, I honestly love it.

THE THIN MAN.  I probably watched this when I was 7 or 9 on Dialing for Dollars but forgot about it.  Again, some classics have staying power.. this is one of them.

BIG BAD MAMMA  This Roger Corman gem still gets labeled as a bad movie for some odd reason.   It is one of his actually, honeslty best movies.

WRONG IS RIGHT.   Granted, it is filmed in a way that has you scraching your head as to who is doing what to whom the first 20 minutes, but it really hits its stride after the 20 minute mark.  Plus, it has John Saxxon giving Sean Connery how to be a spy lessons.   And he does it well!

Bob- Some of your list I can't read because the poster is huge.
Of the ones I can-
SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT. Everybody seen that movie who live in Lawton.
The LOST WORLD. The GOLEM. the BATTLESHIP POTMEKIN.
We had uhf channel 34 PBS. Had all the old fantasy films.I had a black and white TV that sat on top of my dresser. I would watch all those old German silent horror movies, then they would have a show called 'the World At War'. I watched that all the time too. About 1974.

Menard- who was a member of this board for quite a bit- hated this movie.
I seen it at the Strand when it came to the Strand.
I will say Sean Connery is a little too hairy. It's distracting. It just f**ks up any chance of guys watching it.
Still f**king stupid. I agree with Menard.

I agree with Rev Powell, its amazing and f**king stupid at the same time!   I do find the costume choice for the late Sir Sean to be silly if you see a still photo of it...but once the movie gets going, Sir Sean presents himself as if he's dressed for the occasion.   He used to be a body builder, so he was quite comfortable in skimpy clothing..and it shows.  He did not once feel embarassed in that outfit.. at least on screen he didn't.

I saw it as a little kid on late Friday night TV in the early '80s with my mom and dad. I mostly remember the giant flying head and Sean Connery's "no...yes...NO!...YES!" argument with some woman in the movie. I remember my mom and dad laughing at how stupid that the movie was, but as a kid I was fascinated with that giant floating head. At least my parents agree with you guys that the movie was f**king stupid!  Cheers
