The more I'm hearing about the security breakdown, the more I'm getting the impression this was planned...

They've had to gear up for rallies this big before, they knew these people were going to march to the capital steps, and they had plenty of time to call for back up before the march started, but they didn't bother until after the crowd knocked down the barricades.....

None of this makes sense....

Pretty sure Trump started this when he asked for his supporters to come to DC on the same day that the elector college votes were going to be counted.

There have been dozens of trump rallies this big & bigger.

It's important to remember that trump had not actually incited violence previously.  Why now?  His LOSS was about to become official.  One cannot erase his personal connection to what happened yesterday.  The lowest form of fool invaded our Capitol building for themselves, not the majority of us.  Not you.  trump is NOT their ally.   trump is NOT your ally.  It cannot know your hard work, it cannot know your pain.  It's more like my enemy's enemy is my friend.  Your "friend" is a FRAUD.  

LilCerberus, I do not believe you can relate to this, but I've long believed that a majority of people who voted for trump this time were impressed by how their retirement savings kept roaring upwards.  I found out today that an inherited IRA was still more than I suspected.  Money is a great motivator.  Thank God it is not the only motivator.

Six Republican lawmakers among rioters as police release photos of wanted 

At least six Republican state legislators took part in events surrounding the storming of the US Capitol. West Virginia Delegate Derrick Evans posted a video of himself entering the building but later deleted it, The New York Times reported.

Tennessee state lawmaker Terri Lynn Weaver told the Tennessean that she was "in the thick of it" during the rally before the storming of the Capitol. She said there was "Just a whole heck of a lot of patriots here". She later tweeted a picture of the mob at the base of the Capitol, saying: "Epic and historic day gathering with fellow Patriots from all over the nation DC."

Virginia state Senator Amanda Chase denied that any violence had taken place, despite the overwhelming evidence, and later accused the police of murder after the shooting of a California woman inside the Capitol. "A veteran who was brutally murdered by Capitol Police today," Chase wrote on Facebook according to the Henrico Citizen.

"These were not rioters and looters; these were Patriots who love their country and do not want to see our great republic turn into a socialist country. I was there with the people; I know. Don't believe the fake media narrative," she wrote.

Missouri State Representative Justin Hill skipped his swearing-in ceremony to be in DC. He marched to the Capitol but didn't enter, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reported him as saying.

Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano made sure that a busload of people could be in DC. He said in a video that he didn't participate in the clashes with police, The Hill reported.

Michigan State Representative Matt Maddock was also at the scene, according to The Hill.

This comes as the FBI and DC Police released images of people wanted on federal charges for violently storming the US Capitol. They are trying to track down 36 people after 68 were already arrested after violent clashes with police as the Trump-supporting mob broke into the Capitol, forcing members of Congress to evacuate and seek shelter in undisclosed locations. Four rioters died and 56 officers were injured in the ensuing chaos. One officer remains in hospital after being beaten and tased by the mob...

The United States Congress was DOING ITS JOB.
They were attacked by a mob, incited by the President, for one reason: in an attempt to reverse the result of an election he LOST.
He lost by over 7 million votes.  These people may have been simpletons, they may have been otherwise decent people deluded by a huckster and a demagogue, but the one thing they were NOT is "patriots."

They forfeited that title when they attacked our national legislature in an attempt to stop it from its Constitutional functions.
They made war on the United States.

"The Capitol building, arguably one of the most securely protected buildings in the nation.  Snipers on the buildings around it.  Funny how some "protesters" so easily breached all layers of security today.  Able to get into the gallery for a pic.  Able to get into Pelosi's office for a pic.  Able to get right up behind the seat Pence uses and to get by the VP's secret service agents? Do you really believe anyone could so easily get into that chamber?  If they could then that security team should certainly lose their job.  Perhaps, though, they were ALLOWED in.  Get curious.  Step back from the drama being perpetuated and ask questions.  Don't just take in what the media is feeding you.  Think about it critically.  If you've ever been to DC you've seen the guards, the snipers, the metal detectors on just a "regular" day."
