What are you favorite Monster/UFO type movies from the 1950s?
A couple I've watched over and over are The Giant Gila Monster, and Killers from Space.

First to come to mind was Day the Earth Stood Still.

Other good ones:

Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Blob
Forbidden Planet
War of the Worlds
Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers
When Worlds Collide

Killers from Space is better than it's FX will have you believe; look past the goofy eyes & back-projection, & there's a decent abduction/invasion story.

BRIDE OF THE MONSTER (1955) may be my favorite movie of all time.

Of all time.
Of course, my tastes are not as refined I suppose by other folks.

The remake of INVADERS FROM MARS (1985?) is better than it should have been.  The original is a classic!  Check out NOT OF THIS EARTH - my favorite '50s SciFi / Horror.  It may still be at YouTube... well worth a look.

Being I'm an old weirdo Monster Kid you know I seen every one of those films. That makes it real hard!

I like good stuff like FORBIDDEN PLANET and garbage like the HIDEOUS SUN DEMON.

I love them all.

In normal circumstances I'd say The Day The Earth Stood Still, but as this is the Bad Movie Forum, I'll have to go with Robot Monster. Hard to beat that.

I've never grown tired of War Of The Worlds (1953). I've been watching it frequently since I was 4 years old in the late '70s.  Cheers

I thought “This Island Earth” was usually well thought of. Even if it’s not, I’d recommend it. Sorry I forgot about it earlier.
