65. The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
...
I'd really sort of prefer only one LOTR movie on the list to make room for more non-franchise movies, but if there are going to be three Avengers movies (yuck) and two Star Wars movies on the list, then I think this whole trilogy belongs.

I kind of wanted to say "yuck" to more than one choice...as far as LOTR the first movie was wonderful... after that, boe-ring. 

Yeah, I bit my lip on a couple. But my problem with AVENGERS is not that I think they are terrible choices, it's that I hate to see a big Hollywood tentpole franchise taking up 3 spots (I wouldn't mind 1 spot so much). So since I think LOTR is much, much better than Marvel, I feel obligated to use up slots to make sure all three of them get on, too.

Most people rate Peter Jackson's movies much higher than I do. Some of the things he did to those stories are really terrible.
