The author of one of my favorite sci-fi novels
The Probability Broach - which taught me quite a bit about American history - has passed away at the age of 75.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Probability_BroachHe had a great turn of phrase, especially where the Denver cop on a murder case goes to visit a political organization in the city and he describes their offices like this: "The place was freshly painted and didn't smell of p*ss like the rest of the building".
