You know, I've done things in my life that I guess would have to be considered brave, but little in a long time has required more personal courage than going with my daughter to her horseback riding these last couple months. Though I think I conceal it well, horses (i.e. long-faced assassins :-) terrify me and I don't know what the root of this fear is, present life, past life, no cause, but when I am standing there watching her happily ride these seemingly gentle and benign beasts, I have to force myself not to start trembling. Shrug.

Telling you, it is because of a past life experience Catherine....  BounceGiggle

Ever notice maps are a reliable gauge for showing when you've slipped into a different dimension? Like one day Sri Lanka is off India's southeast coast, another time it's off the due south, or Europe doesn't exist. You know, little things like that.

It only just now occurred to me, The Five Thousand Fingers of Dr T doesn't rhyme.....
Not what you'd expect from Dr. Seuss.....

Even The Thief and the Cobbler (1993) somehow managed to rhyme for two hours.....

Why is there a blank page in the paperback version of "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"?

If it's in the back, maybe it has to do with the way books are printed and bound. Usually books are printed on large sheets with many pages on them, and then they're folded, trimmed, bound, and unless the number of pages in a book happens to coincide exactly with the number of pages being pressed on the large sheet, there can be a blank page or two or. more left when the book is bound. Maybe that's it.

Words are open to interpretation by all but their speaker, but I think there's no more jarring comment on growing old and selling out than Don Henley's line about the Deadhead sticker on the Cadillac.

Someone told me this satire of the old Master Card: Priceless commercials.....

Tube of lube: $7.50
Box of condoms: $10.00
Three gay porn videos: $29.99

Making your parents think your jerk of a big brother is secretly a homosexual: priceless.

Now that it's legal in this state, I keep thinking I smell a dead skunk everywhere I go....

The most notable shop in the state was was opened by a state senator who fired a police chief for charging her with inciting one of last summers race riots.....

Methinks this was the inspiration for the subplot in Elf (2003)
