Seems like longer ago but also....you know. Everything's like that. I wonder if people now are more cynical or if there's anyone who'd generate that kind of reaction today?

I wonder why she is remembered, but not Mother Teressa who died around the same time?

I doubt that there is anyone whose passing would generate that much emotion these days.

I've always found that to be a bit odd: Mother Teresa did a lot of good which is putting it mildly.

The Russian ambassador to the UK described Liz Truss as not being a military man.

Well, on that I think I'd actually have to agree with him.

I created an identity on Facebook for Henry Spencer (from ERASERHEAD) who can only post or respond in lines of dialogue the tight-lipped Henry says in ERASERHEAD, and so does noting but share posts about chickens and ask, "Do I just cut them up like regular chickens?"

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100080659732642

A spammer contacted me by direct message but the conversation didn't get far.

I do find some responses by people not familiar with ERASERHEAD amusing, though.

(P.S. The correct answer is "sure, just cut them up like regular chickens!")

Was watching America's Got Talent with my mom last night.....

They had this little girl doing that kind of rage heavy metal, where y' don't try to to sing, you just scream like you're possessed, or throwing a temper tantrum.....

It sounded very constipated to me, like I could write a comedy sketch about a heavy metal singer who can't get off the can.....

When doing a course on Fraud, Bribery and Corruption it is considered bad form to stand up and say 'I am sorry, but this course is the exact opposite of what I was looking for" and leave the room.

Our local politicians are so corrupt that I doubt their moral compasses would let them find the toilet.

Speaking personally, I've been offered 3 bribes in my career (one a huge amount of $$$) and I told all of them to go do something to themselves.

I have just reached a point where I find I no longer care about these things and am just doing things like this to mess with people.

I was watching a video where someone was demonstrating a booby trap on a WW2 bunker in Normandy. You drop a grenade in what looks like an air vent and a few seconds later the grenade falls out a hole further down and lands at your feet. As booby traps go, it might even beat my long time favourite of burying a bullet.

Not sure what is more dangerous. Being a soldier, or being a Russian energy company exec.

Firefox doesn't recognize "pre-production" as a word, and suggests that maybe I meant to type "pee-production."

Stolen from elsewhere:

They should announce a sequel to Groundhog Day and then just rerelease the original.

Sometimes a grown adult says something that makes you just want to pat them gently on the head and send them on their way...
