It amazes me that when reporters cover someone who died, they still get the "they lit up a room" quote from a someone who knew them. Am I heartless? It's the most blatant cliche out there.

Yeah, you're right.

I'll tell you one that sounds so fake to me is when some athlete faces a life crisis outside the sport, illness, accident, life-threatening random brush with mortality, and the announcers invariably say: "Something like this puts it all in perspective. This is just a game."

OK, that's true, but the same announcers say that line over and over every crisis, several times a season, and I'll think, did the dips**t somehow forget the perspective he said he gained from each of the last ten crises????

He was a Bills player, but yeah. I was checking updates on my laptop while watching "Metropolis" and they suddenly stopped updating. I checked the radio to see what was going on. Wow. It was a hard hit, but you see hits like that several times a game. It will be interesting to see what the doctors say happened. Looks like a freak injury.

Every time I hear somebody say "The People's Business", or "the Business Of The People", I can't help thinking about some politician trying to say they hafta go to the bathroom on behalf of the Nation......

Gotta say babies are weird. From being happy and laughing to screeching like a pterodactyl quickly is something.

You gotta keep babies happy, fed, and distracted. Kinda like grown men.

My niece loves to blow raspberries when she eats, making it harder to feed her. Whenever my sister eats she screeches like a pterodactyl,  basically complaining about her not getting fed. Try to feed her and she blow raspberries again.  She is absolutely weird.

^One of my nieces had a really scary laugh when she was little.... She would shriek real loud, (causing me to jump up, thinking she was hurt), then follow by cackling....

Rough day . . . one of my closest friends and my favorite hunting buddy died last Thursday.
The family asked me to speak at his funeral service today.  Somehow, through the tears, I did it.
But man, I am going to miss him SO much!  Bluesad Bluesad
