I just watched AIRPORT (1970), AIRPORT 75, and AIRPORT 79.
Overblown made for TV movies.

Airport 79 was released here as Airport 80 The Concorde and went to theatres. Bit confusing.  Question

Cheers Thanks bubba.  Been a while, and to quote Jerry Garcia: "What a loooooooong strange trip it's been"

It's nice to see some of the old faces still around.  Or is it sad?  Who cares.  Familiarity is comforting

They were all released in theaters here too. They just look like they were made for TV.

Three of them were all produced by someone who got shot in his gentleman's area a while back so that might have something to do with it  Buggedout TeddyR

Warrior of the Lost World (1984). What got me straight away was how well-maintained the apocalyptic wasteland was and how the freeways are newly painted and clean. The film would have been better if the protagonist looked like they actually wanted to be there

The Next Man (1976)

One would think that at least Sean Connery could carry a weak ass script and story all by himself. However, even the Late Sir Sean had  phone in his performance from his house to the point his long distance bill ate up his salary.  He plays an arab (possibly Saudi? ) diplomat who has been thrust into the role of lead UN delegate for (Saudi?) country. He mumbles his way through the whole film. The script never gives us anything to hold onto, character or story wise fully.  Heck, there's one scene where he leads his entourage of (Saudi?) and US security team down below this Manhattan hotel to an abandoned subway tunnel.  He gives this speech that has no relevance to ...anything at all.

And that's the best part of the movie.

Oh yeah, there's a plot to have him assassinated before he delivers his speech to the UN.

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Thankfully, the ONLY dialogue spoken at all is by George Burns.  The producer got the rights to a stage version of this production.  He thought it would make a good movie....

NO. IT. DIDN'T.

I just watched a few awful movies, Carnosaur and Burnt Offerings. I was jacked up watching Carnosaur but I not enough to think it wasn't crap. Burnt Offerings felt like it was going in the right direction but went off course with over the top acting and not enough horror until the very end. It's really hard to sit through trash movies.
