Can I add titles of lost silents here or do they have to exist still?

Good question. Naming 'lost' films as a favorite...I've been wanting to list LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT (1927), just because of the iconic image of Chaney's shark tooth vampire.
Hallows already did.
If you want to, go ahead. I won't- because I've not seen any lost films.

I've seen a few movies I wish had been lost, if that helps.  BounceGiggle

70) The Gun Runner (1916): unedited footage in our vaults: probably SA's first real action film.

71) The Rose of Rhodesia (1917): long believed lost but there is a copy in an archive in the Netherlands. I've seen it and it isn't bad (the film I mean, not the archives in the Netherlands  Wink)

72) The Voice of The Waters (1918): a very eerie thriller, judging by the pics which still survive.

Most of the films I've posted I've seen, but I indicated if I hadn't seen it.  I think the Oscar and star are historically important (effin nazi).
I have seen the little seen remake of THE WAY OF ALL FLESH (1940) starring AKIM TAMIROFF.  Heartbreaking story.

^ I've not seen either ( of course not the lost version), but the remake stars Akim Tamiroff? I would watch it.  Thumbup

I'd long wondered what the film was titled though I saw it perhaps twice as a child on TV broadcast some Saturday or Sunday afternoon.  Years later, I've learned a lot about the AKIM TAMIROFF and EMIL JANNINGS versions, but I haven't seen the '40 version in decades.  AKIM TAMIROFF is a favorite of mine too!
