Murder mystery comedy with a gorilla.
Which has a lost 1930 version, and a 1939 version with the Ritz Brothers and Bela Lugosi!

 82. TWO TARS (1928)
Stan and Ollie star in a non-stop slapstick skit involving a traffic jam.

Small | Large

I think I like Stan and Ollie more than Keaton or Chaplin is because Chaplin added pathos, and later social commentary, and Keaton's stone face left me ...stone faced. Laurel and Hardy just was 100% stupid comedy. And that's what I want out of slapstick.

"Dream of the rarebit fiend," which I posted earlier, is also based on a Winsor McKay story. I used to have a book of his comics, not sure where it is now, it's either stuffed in a closet somewhere or I gave it away.
