The  theme song is done by Micheal Jackson!

Also with Leon ( MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE with Bela Lugosi!) Ames, and Myron (the UNEARTHLY with Tor Johnson) Healy!

Razorback (1984) - Underrated Australian gem.

That's a great film indeed.

I'm not sure if Nightwing has been mentioned?

Agreed, but a bit late to be a 70s movie.

KISS OF THE TARANTULA (1975)

A little girl gets her spider pals to kill people.
Another variation of WILLARD, BEN, or STANLEY.

I'm fairly arachnophobic. I went behind the scenes at the local zoo a few yrs ago and saw a spider called a 'Metallica' up close. looked like a tarantula except shiny blue and black (maybe I was hallucinating?). terrifying anyway

I'm not sure if Nightwing has been mentioned?

cool, vampire bats.... be a bit weird if they didn't figure somewhere in this thread

btw I'm posting everything mentioned (at least the ones that count) in the first post, so you can see what's been said already

Two movies that are not considered bad are:

Long Weekend (1978) and Phase IV (1974)

Jaws 2 (1978) is borderline bad
The Uncanny (1977) (cats)
Night Creature (1978) (killer leopard)

The Food of the Gods (1976)

They're giant animals, but they are attacking, & it was made in the 70's!

PHASE IV mentioned in 1st post..  LONG WEEKEND is a favourite, and I just re-watched it the other day... not sure why it didn't occur to me. maybe it's the fact that although there are animals going 'bad', the real malevolent threat of the film seems to be nature itself?

JAWS 2, underrated I think, as far as sequels to mega blockbusters go. didn't know the other 2 you mentioned  Thumbup

never actually seen this but I do have FOOD OF THE GODS 2 (which apparently is unconnected, and late 80s).

SCARS OF DRACULA (1970) had a church full of people killed by bats.

Going by the summary, The Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1975) has both animal attacks & friendly animals.

I think I saw a bit of the end on TV once.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_the_Wilderness_Family

There were two sequels. The first, The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1978) has the family face wolves during the winter: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Further_Adventures_of_the_Wilderness_Family

The third entry in the series doesn't have any animal attacks listed in the plot summary, so I'm not including it. (Yet.)
