I don't even know. I seen millions of them, it seems. Enjoyed most. Expect that American version. And the ones with the son of Godzilla and little brats so annoying you want Godzilla to stomp them into their  graves.
My favorite is the first one- GOJIRA (1954). He was f**king scary and kills people!

I guess half a dozen or so, including the newer versions. I much prefer the Japanese movies though. I remember the first one I ever saw being the Smog Monster one when it was shown on a series called 'The Worst of Hollywood'.

Let's see... the original 1954 version in both Japanese and U.S. cuts. The 2014 American remake. Just the final scene of "Godzilla vs. King Kong." "Destroy All Monsters." "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" on MST3K. The 1998 one through Rifftrax. So depending on how you count, that's a maximum of 7.

Just the ones featured on MST3K. Honestly, as much fun Godzilla is, the lame cast and plot of these movies make them unwatchable for me. I prefer the Gamera movies, at least those are so ridiculous that you can laugh at them.

I think I lost track after the 1970s...
And some of them have different names from what I remember....

I forgot Godzilla vs. Megalon (MST3K only).

I have seen a larger percentage of Gameras than Godzillas.

For some reason, I've never sat through Godzilla Vs The Smog Monster...
I don't know why...

Sadly only the one: the 1998 one 😳😳

You should be able to view a copy of GOJIRA (1954) which is the only great movie in the franchise.  As a film historian: GOJIRA is a must-see.

Do not confuse the original GOJIRA with the American chopped salad Raymond Burr GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS (1956) which is easily half inserted footage and brought all subsequent films down to its level.

archive.org has a pretty decent copy of the 1954 one: I will watch it on the weekend  Smile

I've seen many of the Shōwa era (1954–1975) films but I would be lying that I've seen most of them dubbed only as a child when A) they came on TV or B) what I had the ability to rent. The Heisei era I've missed out on but eventually would like to change that.

In my older years I've seen:
Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999)
Shin Godzilla (2016)
Godzilla (1998)
Godzilla (2014)
Kong: Skull Island (2017) - Ties to the US Monsterverse.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
