Hard Times in Apartment 69

Starring:
Pumpis Johnson, as the landlady.
Rod Long, as unemployed tenant one.
I.M. Hardman, as unemployed tenant two.

Honestly, this movie packs a lot in. In a mere twenty-one-minute runtime, we see the cheeky leading lady (Johnson) reach an emotional climax, as she stands abreast of the perky pair (Long and Hardman) behind in the rent they owe her. Her change of heart takes her from a landlady so angry that she does not even wait to get properly dressed before leaving her apartment to confront her cocky tenets, coming up to their abode in just her bathrobe.

The two frat boys in apartment 69, who are unemployed (hence the “hard times” in the movie’s title) and unable to pay their rent, explain their situation with such terse eloquence that Pumpis finds herself on her knees, moved by their plight. She consoles them with a remarkable display of affection, and after they show their gratitude by presenting her with a facial, Pumpis ends by declaring she no longer cares about the money she’s owed, having come---powerfully---to demonstrably love her two renters, and they her.

While some women may need a tissue (yes, Apartment 69 is that moving), male viewers especially will find this film uplifting. I think it is remarkable that so much was revealed in so little screen time, and frankly marveled at the sensitive interpretation of minimal source material shown here. Though Pumpis was given top billing that saw her positioned over both Long and Hardman, she was quite generous to them and made sure they, like all her co-stars, got ahead.

Truly it had been ages since I’d seen three actors put so much of themselves into things.

Rating: Easily a full 38 in the high parts, and at least an 8 at the low points, so let's call it an A.

This is the breast review I've read all wank. Those lads sound quite a cocksure pair, fulfulling their roles and really getting into the parts. Well done, boys. Well done.
