Did you guys see the attorney general (I believe it was...) in Illinois released a report after a years-long investigation into the conduct of the Archdiocese of Chicago regarding child molesters in its employ?

Once again it proved such sickening reading I swear to God I wouldn't mind seeing the Roman Catholic Church from top to bottom gone after for its inexcusable crimes toward children and in some cases, adults. Historically virtually every bishop in America and his staff seem guilty to some degree of facilitating child abuse and covering it up.

The things that have gone on, the testimony and accounts in reports like those....the way known sexual abusers were handled, the conspiracy to conceal the extent of the victimization of minors by clergy....business as usual is not sufficient, there needs to be an overhauling of the legal system and severe accountability needs to happen. Not just perpetrators but facilitators should be jailed. Crimes and the hiding of crimes cannot go unpunished. Sue every diocese out of existence, haul people up on charges, expose the wrongdoings to the light.
