Is this movie any good? I remember my mother telling me this was the scariest movie shes ever seen back when I was young. I finally found a video store that has it, is it worth renting or is she full of it?

Eh. Unpleasantly violent in parts, phenomenally silly in others. Try it out, you might like it, but you've been warned. Good "bad" ending.

...I just can't picture "Mom" recommending a movie about a demonic serial-rapist/murderer. Yeeeeeeeee.

Well, I wasn't exactly that young, around 16 at the time I'd say. And she didn't exactly recommend it. When I saw it in the video shop last week, I recalled her saying that. Thanks for the responce, maybe I'll try it out.
