Has anyone ever seen a japanese flick called versus?  If so, does anyone know where I can get it?

Probably not much use, but if you know someone who can read japanese, go to amazon.co.jp, and get them to help you.

I did its 2 hours of pretty cool action. Its not really much of a zombie film but more like a samurai fighting movie with fast cuts. Crimson cult video is where I bought my copy- they're trustworthy I've bought several tapes from them over time.

I saw it at the Toronto Film Festival, and being a huge fan of the new wave of films coming out of Japan I was quite disappointed.  Sure there's a ton of violence and zombies but it is just so non-stop without a decent story holding it together it just gets boring.  About 40 minutes into the film you'll be thinking it has been playing for 90.  Wild Zero however is a great Japanese zombie flick which is very inventive and fast paced.  Also if your looking for a creepy film rent Ring, Pulse, The Hypnotist or Audition.

Audition is SICK!  I loved it.  It was on cable recently.

Wild Zero I was disappointed by...it's a horror comedy, basically, with bad CGI head explosions.   Superhero rock band fight zombies.  You never get the idea that any of the band members are in any kind of jeopardy--they show no fear or emotion whatsoever.

One of the newer Japanese zombie flicks I do recommend is JUNK.   Zombies versus Yakuza versus jewel thieves!   Unlike Wild Zero, this movie has the fast paced action of the Asian crime film while at the same time works great as a horror film.

RING is also excellent, but don't bother with it if your idea of horror is a bunch of gory special effects.  Haven't seen RING 2 or RING 0 yet.

BTW, all these flicks can be had by the various video dealers out there--no need to mess with Amazon Japan.
