I.E. : The Sheer Audacity in Concept Consistancy Award. Given to the film that take its inicial conciet / Concept to its Logical or Illogical conclusion. My proof. Two films. JOE'S APARTMENT And KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE. Think about it..........Intelligant Cockroaches (All Singing! All Dancing! )...and Lethal Circus performers from the stars. Both films handle the core idea with skill. Each takes the imagry of the subject (Bugs and Klowns), and stands those images on their heads....so to speak. And the gags are consistant with what we expect from each core image. Cockroaches singing about "Sewer surfing", and Klowns performing an unforgetable ventriloquist act, are what the award is all about. Sooooooooo.....what flicks would you conciter suitable for the S.A.C.C.A.?

Return Of The Living Dead. They eat the brains because the electricity and energy in the brain provides not only nourishment, but pain-relief.

God dammit, I've been on a Return Of The Living Dead obsession spree since a week ago...

That's alright, last night I had a dream that I was *in* NotLD.  And yes, it was in Black & White.  Confession:  I've only seen parts of the flick, and not in a long time, either.

The three that spring to mind for me are Meet the Feebles, Terror of Tiny Town and the shot-for-shot Psycho remake. Also, they didn't really do so much of it in their respective movies, but the routines of Andy Kaufman and Ernie Kovacs were great examples of this.

BEING JOHN MALKOVICH took a weird idea and followed it to it's logical extreme.  Too bad I really disliked that movie.

I'll think of others.

The Incredible Melting Man!!! An astronaut returns to Earth but his flesh is melting off his body. When he finds out in the hospital, he's p**sed!
So what does he do? He kills the nurse, escapes and has to feed off of living human cells to survive.
But, as he melts, he becomes stronger!?! And he doesn't really do anything with his victims but make a bloody mess. I guess that's why at the end he just sits down and melts away to nothing but a stain.

Great flick though, really good fun. Highly Recommended!

Ah, a Kovacs fan! May the Nirobi Trio play at your wedding. Dang, i miss Ernie. He could realy keep you guessing. He sure knew how to keep the suprise element in his stuff. One of my heros. Right up there with Groucho, Ken Nordine, Firesign theater, Tom Lerer, Dr. D., Weird Al, Ghoulardi, MST3K, Svengouli, and many more. (Sigh)....so much insanity....such a high standard to hold myself to!
