I have been waiting for this review.  Thanks Andrew.

This is one of my favorite bad movies.  First of all, where else have you seen such exquisite timing (1,2,3, startle, 1,2,3, startle).

Second I can't resist commenting on the locale.  Andrew noted guys wearing vests while girls were running around in bikinis.  I have fished out of Noyo harbor since the early 60's.  It is located just below Fort Bragg, California.  Which is 2 1/2 hours or so north of San Francisco.  Even in the hottest weather, you are not going to step into that water without a wetsuit.  The water temperature in that area is around 50 degrees year round.  It's a beautiful, rugged coastline to visit, but I ain't gonna swim there.

That area was also used in the making of the movie "The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming".

just finished watching it. We need more movies like this. Gore, nudity (the rapist salmon-men are smart enough to remove the bikini of their victims before makin'it), good acting and effective soundtrack. Two thumbs up.

What year was this movie made? I feel like I should give it a look. Sounds like my kind off strange movie.

It's from 1980. Some of the nudity and gore scenes were shot by another director, as original director Barbara Peeters deemed them unnecessary and gratuitous. But actually they're the most interesting parts of the movie.

Love the movie, love the location. I totally wanted to move there after my first viewing on VHS back in the day.

Bear in mind that there are two versions of this one -- the original directed by The Corman, the remake produced by him and directed by someone else.  Both are cinema gold.  And both have lots of good piscatorial lovin'.

I thought the remake stunk!  But the original is a B movie classic!

I had forgotten there had been a remake, as well. Apparently, it was a remake to be shown on TV back in 1996.
