An American remake of
Joyuu-rei (AKA
Don't Look Up and
Ghost Actress ) is headed
our way .
Normally, I'm optimistic to the point of madness, but this movie is going to suck. Oh, there are no details yet, but I've got a bad feeling about this one. I've seen the original, and it's great. Perfect, in many ways.
I especially liked the ending, which, of course, I won't reveal. I doubt any remake can duplicate this movie.

Joyuu-rei appears every now and again on the Sundance Channel under the title
Ghost Actress . It is scheduled to appear on Halloween, for those who have the channel and are curious.
