There's this movie i saw a long time ago.  It has something to do with a group of people and they are either in an insane asylum or hospital.  Anyways ...people start getting killed and there is this weird elevator scene.  I know the summary sounds kind of vague but if anyone can help me with the name of the movie, i'd greatly appreciate it.  Thanks

Sounds familiar, but with such a broad description of course it would.

Do you have any more details?  Any specifics on the actual elevator scene?

Not really, it was so long ago.  But i think it was really bloody.  :)  of course that probably does nothing to narrow it down.

Alisa, could this movie be "Asylum of Satan"?  Had a doctor with a really, really, really bad fake goatee.  This is a very obsucre movie.  www.williamgirdler.com has lots of info on this flick.

Hospital Massacre with Barbie Benton?  It seems to me that had an elevator scene.

If a head-in-a-hatbox scene sounds familiar, this is probably it.

Visiting Hours was another hospital slasher film.

And don't quote me, but I think New Years Evil had some kind of elevator sequence.

The ending of RE-ANIMATOR comes to mind.
