After hearing the news of the plane crash that killed Minnesota's Senator Wellstone, his wife, daughter and staff (8 in all), I started wondering to myself if there are any websites that were totally devoted to plane crashes and such.  I found the best one.  www.airdisaster.com.  Everything you could ever want to know about air disasters is on that site.  It shows tons of photos.  It gives detailed descriptions of how the crash happened including # of fatalities and probable cause for the accident.  You can either read the text of the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) or listen to the actual recording itself (via a short download).  Being able to listen to these recordings is in my opinion the best part of the site.  In certain accounts where most or all of the crew and passengers survived, you can read their detailed stories of how they felt and what the crew did to try to save themselves.
I'm sure that each and every one of us has given thought at some time or another as to what it would actually be like to be sitting in an aircraft as it plummeted to the ground (possibly spinning) at God knows how many hundreds of miles per hour.  You think of what would be going through your head.  Would you be praying?  Or would you simply be screaming at the top of your lungs (not thinking about God) while your cries were drowned out by the roar of the descent?  Knowing you had seconds to live.  Knowing that you are shortly going to be dying a VERY violent death.  You could always have solace in realizing that it'd probably only hurt for a second.  The descent.   The plane pitched at that steep angle.  Straight down.
That to me is the most horrifying of all.

                                                 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Never been close to crashing during a flight, but since my last trip I begin to think that probably I wouldn't even realise what happenned. See, during my last flight to Dublin, when the plane landed,  the pilot was stupid enough to touch the landing strip just whith one of the wing landing gears, so the whole plane recoiled to the oppossite side with violence before the pilot could do anything. Maybe it was just a sudden wind, but all the passengers started interchanging meaningful looks.

If you ever happen to take an European flight, avoid Iberia flights.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
