Hey gang,

I know Halloween was already 4 days ago but I just want to send out props to TNN for showing the Friday the 13th Marathon on Halloween.  That was probably the best TV I've seen in years... and even though I've seen every episode numerous times, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them again.

Anybody else enjoy that as much as I did?

Having never seen Friday the 13th (any of them) I got my first taste with the one with the telepath and he comes out of the lake. It was cheesy, poorly written, lots of coincidences, and all around fun. I am definitely hooked and hear that the first one is Actually good!, well, if you could tell me which number I watched, I would appreciate it.

Yup, I hung out with a friend of mine at his place of business (he's an attendant at a teeny Exxon station) and we watched the whole thing on this tiny s**tbox T.V.  It was fun

That was part 7 that you watched, Evan.

You should definitely see them all - in order.  Here are my personal ratings on the series:

Part 1: Awesome.  Have watched it over and over.  8/10

Part 2: Spectacular. My personal favorite.  9/10

Part 3: Hmmm... although many people claim this to be their favourite, I consider it the worst of the series.  4/10

Part 4: Extremely solid comeback from the Part 3 disaster.  7/10

Part 5: Another solid film.  7/10

Part 6: Arguably the most "fun" film of the series.  HILARIOUS.  8/10

Part 7: Entertaining with good nudity.  7/10

Part 8: Surprisingly MUCH better than I thought... but my expectations were quite low.  6/10

Part 9: Yikes.  5/10

Part 10: Will see soon!

So in order of favorites,

Part 2
Part 1
Part 6
Part 4
Part 5
Part 7
Part 8
Part 9
Part 3

Part 3 is genius- who couldn't resist a movie with a gang with a man that barks and the whole cheap 3D feel of it. Jason even accquires his mask in this one after he harpoons the kid so whats not to like here? Part 1-4 I'll take as my favorites and then try to forget about this series (except for the utter brillant plot of jaon takes manhattan)

yeah...i agree...but now lets see one of these b-friendly channels (amc, tnt, usa) hire Joe Bob Briggs again...a good host makes a good movie line-up a lot better.

i give some props to Sci-fi for trying with Shatner and Full Moon...

I didn't even know it was on, however I refuse to watch anything on TNN or as I like to call it, The Nitwit Network. Yeah, I really need the channel to tell me what I'm watching every second of the show otherwise I might forget every few seconds. Either they cover up the bottom of the picture with that strip, or they alter the aspect ration to provide room at the bottom. I don't know which is worse. How long will it be before other channels start doing this as well? How long before they start running promos for other shows across the bottom? BLECH!
