In the '70's there was a "movie of the week"teasing my memory. I remember only a few scenes. If i remember correctly it stared the same kid that was in the TV show "James at 15" only he was younger. (and maybe played twins) seems like one of them fell from the loft of a barn onto a pitchfork. that's all i remember. if anyone has a clue I would appreciate any help.

Apparently the guy is Lance Kerwin (I never remembered his name)

Here's the IMDB info, as a start:

I  don't know what this movie is, but I *MIGHT* have an idea. Of course I could be completely wrong about this...

I looked at Lance Kerwin's list of films and nothing looked familiar, BUT... I seem to recall a movie that used to turn up on Saturday afternoons a lot and which, if I recall correctly, starred a kid who looked similar to Kerwin. I can't remember the title, but it was about him talking to his supposedly dead brother. I don't think I ever watched the whole thing, so I don't know if it was supernatural or if he just had a screw loose. The time period is right and I seem to recall that the film I'm thinking of took place in the country. I think I'd recognize the title if I saw it, it's like it's right on the tip of my tongue, but I can't quite remember it.

Does anyone here remember a thiller starring a blonde-haired kid who would hold conversations with his dead brother when nobody else was around?

It also could be the kid that was on the old Bob Newhart show. The one that the nieghbor (major healy from I Dream of Jeanie) wanted to adopt.
\this is starting to p**s me off. i HATE when i can't remember something. maybe i went to too many Dead Shows.

I have NO idea where the James at 15 guy comes from. i KNOW i wouldn't have watched that AT ALL!!!!!

Anyhoooo,

The Other.  Based on the Tom Tryon novel.  Very scary.

That's the movie I was thinking of! I kept thinking it was called the Stranger for some reason, but I knew that was wrong. I guess I got it mixed up with some other movie where the kid talks to his dead brother.
