In a DVD player? I'm on a budget..okey, who ain't?...and i want to get the best for the least. What kind of DVD's did you guys buy?

I've got a Samsung 709, It's dirt cheap, it's a multi region player (with hack) it plays VCD's which I'm finding quite usefull at the moment and it looks great.

I bought it for £120 from Richer Sounds in Leeds, but the most I've seen it for was £170.

Most of the budget players have the same features: Dolby ect. so it's best to go with a brand you trust, plus prices of players are dropping all the time.

The only thing I don't like about the 709 is the remote control, it's too big and the joystick isn't very good.

all i know is that mine is a Sony, and it's a one disc
