I need help identifying the title of a film.

I believe it was made in the 80's.

The only thing I seem to remember was a guy who gets his eyes gouged out with a spoon.

Anyone??

Might have been a Lucio Fulci film.  His films are infamous for their eye trauma scenes.

This gives me a great idea. People always seem to ask the titles of movies, and then give descriptions of certain scenes, like: "You know, the one where the guy falls into the pit of spikes . . . "

Let's put together a book or a database that allows people to look up movies NOT by title or director or actor, but by descriptions of memorable scenes and images. We could arrange it alphabetically like this:

A

Arm dismemberment
Attack by giant crabs
Axe through the head

B

Blowtorch in the eye
Brain ripped out

C

Chopped off fingers
Crowbar into the throat

Etc.

Anyone interested in working on this project?

A few months ago I started contemplating a database for movies that you could search topically with terms like "android" or "post apocalypse" as well as the typical actor, etc.. terms  If you built the search term matches well, you could achieve the same effect as what you're describing, I think

You can already to that to a degree with the IMDBs Power Search form.  I use it all the time.

I think the title of that film is Deranged.  However I don't think it's the deranged many are familiar with.  I saw a preview for it on the Ganja and Hess video I rented a few years back (Ok my brother rented it as I was under 18 at the time).  I remember seeing a person getting their eye spooned out on it. Also it said "Banned in America"  as did Ganja and Hess.  My guess is that they were banned back in the seventies along with some vampire movie that sucked.  I think it is a Michael Moore video release .  Hopefully that helped.
