I love to look at Barbra Hershey. That's the ONLY reason i watched this one.
The rape scenes are very silly. And the whole theory of "freezing" the ghost to capture it is proposterous!!!! If you haven't seen this abomination then do so. It's a good laugh.

I remember taking this movie home one night when I used to work in a video store (around 1989). I don't remember much about it, except that I didn't like it.

Therer are much silier rape scenes thatn THE ENTITY. Ever tried HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP, INSEMINIOD, GALAXY OF TERROR, or BREEDERS?

Ehhhhhh....

Breeders is not even funny in it's silly rape scenes... I tell you that that alien's genitalia reminded me so much of a cucumber that I have not touched so much as a pickly since.

I cannot stress the amount of audasity and betrayal I felt watching this movie and allow though I have lightened up on it since because I could not stop laughing about the "Pretty dark in here, Lester" scene with the hobo who lived in the sewers of all places. Damn hilarious and the funny opening is mildly amusing but this movie is of pure evil. Director, Tim Kincaid, must have been out to get me with this piece of cinematic crap.

I tell you it's evil!!!

Flippin' Waaaaaahhh!

I sort of liked it. By the end of it I was quite tired of the whole thing, not to say a bit bored, but in general it was suspenseful and well staged. I guess that would make a 55% in my personal ranking.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Talk about Barbara Hershey... the STARZ channel on the satellite showed "Last Summer" (1969) a few months ago. I had never seen the flick before; the sight of a 20 year old tanned BH in a tiny bikini is something to behold.

But back to the Entity--the rape scenes showcased at least one nicely perverse special effect:  The shot of the "ghost" or whatever kneading BH's breast with invisible fingers.  Sort of like the shot of the sleeping woman in "Hollow Man" from 2000.  Some special FX guy was creaming in his shorts over that gag....

Let us not forget the rape scene from Evil Dead featuring moving vegetation. That was pretty unique.

And while we're on the subject of breasts, what about that FX shot of Linnea Quigley in Night of the Demons? That one is eerie.
