Can't Remember the Title!!!

Would anyone know the title of a terrible film where a boat load of mismatched travellers (Ooh!  Cliche #1) get stuck in a mass of man-eating sea-weed that pulls a crewman over board.
They are quite quickly saved by a bunch of people with (ahem!) floating gas bags attatched to their shoulders (which are clearly not floating but are wired on) who are then light enough to walk on the seaweed - which for some inexplicable reason won't attack them when they walk on it although it will pull people out of the boat!

I fell asleep shortly after this point.  I do remember a buxom babe in fur Racquel Welch-eque bikini.  But anymore details are lost to my weariness at the time.

It was a lousy film - but like a car wreck, so compelling to watch.

I've looked all over and can't identify what it might have been.  Thanks if you can help me.
