Another question for the experts out there. Just remembered looking around at Best Buy and saw the "Special Edition" DVD of STARGATE. Now, I haven't seen the film but I would like to know if anybody on this forum has seen the flick and have the "Special Edition" DVD. If so, is it really worth it?

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

Read this post over on my message board for a very comprehensive report on the disc quality (plus a word or two on the movie itself):

STARGATE ANY addition isn't worth getting. Any movie that calls the Eye of Horus the Eye of Ra just sucks! That's just the tip of the iceburg. The technology is inconsistent. The story is flawed the characters are underdeveloped and there's huge ancient egpyt reference opportunities that are either completely passed by or incorrectly done. The TV show is actually better than the movie.
