Just purchased 8 westerns. The only reason I spent the extra is to see DJANGO. It is part of a Speghetti Western Collection. It temps me to buy the COFFIN JOE trilogy. I don't like buying except when something is hard to get hold of. Here is what I picked up today:

Django
Django Kill (If You Live, Shoot ! )
Mannaja (A Man Called Blade)
Run Man Run
They Call Me Trinity
Trinity is Still My Name
Beyond the Law
Death Rides a Horse

Based on what is available at my local video stores. My list of rentals to view in the future are:

Cable Hogue (Western)
Mountain Men (Western)
Purgatory (Western)
Yojimbo (Kurasawa)
Kugemesha (Kurasawa)
Vamp (Grace Jones)
Birth of a Nation (Film History)
John Wayne Films
Puppet Master III & IV
Jason Goes to Hell
Phantasm III (and maybe part II, kinda forgot how that goes)
Lepracaun II & III

Searching For These:

El Topo
Holy Mountain

I have 2 of the COFFIN JOE movies: AT MIDNIGHT I'LL TAKE YOUR SOUL and THIS NIGHT I'LL POSSESS YOUR CORPSE. They are certainly off-beat and creepy in a unique sort of way. But don't expect to be "shocked." The scenes of violence were ahead of their time, but are pretty routine (even tame) by today's standards.

Still, they are great additions to anyone's DVD collection.

Yea, I don't need shock to enjoy a film. Atmosphere and strangeness work for me.

Saw you have Purgatory on your list Scott. I think you'll like it. Definately  gets cool points from me.
