Tim Currey didn't play the devil in "Legend" - he was just the Lord of Darkness, trying to please dad. ;-)

Bruce Payne - "Switch"
Vincent Price - "The Story of Mankind"

I believe it was Robert Judd who played Scratch/aka The Devil in "Crossroads"?
on that note: Daniel Von Bargen played the Sherrif/Devil in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"

I thought of that one too, but the description I found listed him as a demon rather than the devil.

I just remember that he made a bargain with a guy, something along the lines of three wishes for your soul, and he granted the wishes ala Bedazzled, and the final wish was "Get Lost". It's been a long time since I saw it, but I thought he was playing the Devil. Who knows?

John Lovitz used to play Satan on SNL. Didn't Phil Hartman do him a couple of times too?

Ned Flanders was satan on a halloween episode of the Simpsons.  Wasn't there a Satan character in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, or was there just the grim reaper?

Actually, Jeffrey Jones played Spike, who worked for the devil.

Darn! As someone said, most of the good ones are taken, but, that still leaves me to mention Donald Pleasence in "The Greatest Story Ever Told."

Frank Welker is listed as doing the voice of Satan in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, though I recall the character itself just being a big special effect.

Double darn! I forgot a couple. One I saw a number of years ago, and one I saw last night. The one I saw a number of years ago was Sir Ralph Richardson in "Tales from the Crypt." And the one I saw last night was weatherman Al Roker, who played a character very much like Satan on the animated "The Proud Family."
