Recently watched HANDS OF STEEL (1986), directed by Sergio Martino under the name 'Martin Dolman' and starring Daniel Greene as Paco Quaraz, the robot cyborg. Made at the time of James Cameron's successful THE TERMINATOR (1984), HANDS OF STEEL concerns Paco as he is sent by an evil corporate offical (played by the great John Saxon) to assasinate an environmentalist scientist who is loved by the people. Paco abandons his mission and is now on the run from Saxon and a European assasin (played by Claudio Cassanelli).

Great action and a fine score from Claudio Simonetti. HANDS OF STEEL was actually released in some international countries as THE RETURN OF THE TERMINATOR. Also of note, Claudio Cassanelli died during the end of production via helicopter accident. Later on, hackmeister Bruno Mattei would make SHOCKING DARK (1989), which would be released in Italy as TERMINATOR II.

Anybody seen HANDS OF STEEL, or SHOCKING DARK for that matter?
