Ok I know movies based on video games are nearly always bad. But there are some games which would be awsome movies if the they werent written and directed by directors who just want to make the movie because its popular and the most they know about it is because they played it part way through.
Movies that are based on games that i think would be cool:
Diablo.Come on the game has already such a great story and awsome charectors it would make a kick ass movie.
Warcraft. This game f**king rocks. It has such a great story and would be so cool to see it made into a movie.
Doom. The ultimate demon ass kicking movie.
Marathon.(If there are any mac fans they would know this game)
Metal Gear Solid.Awsome story awsome charectors.
And finally another Final Fantasy movie.I know im going to get dissed on for this one but I thought the movie was f**king awsome. I understood what was going on why dosn't every one else. But any ways if they were going to make anouther Final Fantasy movie they should go old school and make it like ff7 or ff9(my two personal favorites), it would be really cool to see a movie set in those kind of worlds.
Thats my list feel free to post some more ideas.

Actually, I all seriousness, if there was a competent script written and competent director, then Silent Hill would be a wonderful movie. It'd really screw with the mind.

The Half-Life movie could be a DTV cash-in when DOOM comes out. Kinda like the games it self.

Isn't there a film being done on River City Ransom? Also, I think the Legend of Zelda, Mega Man,and maybe Donkey Kong could be interesting. How about Buger Time? Or perhaps Chiller

Hahaha, I cant help it, but I love Crash Bandicoot. If Kangaroo Jack could make it, so could Crash, especially if the guy from the commercials gets to play him "Im talking to you plumber boy"

My fear of Diablo is that they will want to make a trilogy (since the game is vs. 3 monsters) and it will turn out like Mortal Combat, the studio will wait to see if it is successful and then f**k it all up in the sequal.

I also would love to see a decent FF movie.

How about the original "Pong" game. (Black and white, with 2 paddles and a ball bouncing back and forth). It would be just about as interesting as most movies based on video games that I have seen.

I think "Halo" could be kickass if done right.

Maybe Bruce Willis in the lead role?
