Something has been bothering me for a long time now... Is Jan Svenkmeyer's Faust a b-movie? cause it kinda reminds me of Eraserhead, only better lit.

Svenkmeyer's Faust is downright weird. It's hard to put a label on it, so in that sense it is certainly in the Eraserhead mould. By the way TWM, in the version you've seen are all the character's voiced by one man? The one i've got on tape (From UK tv) is voiced by Andrew Sachs (If you've ever seen a Brit comedy series called "Fawlty Towers", which was written by and stars ex-Python John Cleese - Andrew Sachs plays Manuel the Spanish waiter)

Faust struck me as an experimental film basically. And I probably wouldn't consider Eraserhead a b-film, just more of a low-budget art film. If you can get a hold of "pretty as a picture:the art of david lynch," there's some cool interviews with the cast and crew of Eraserhead, and the now deceased cult actor Jack Nance.

I saw an interview with Lynch on UK tv about a year ago, and he claimed Jack Nance was killed in a brawl in a doughnut shop!

Jack Nance did indeed die from a brawl in a doughnut shop.  You can look it up in his IMDb biography here:

It was a shame to see him go, but at least he died one of the more dignified deaths.  Where was People magazine for this one?

It was a shame to hear of Jack Nance's death. I wonder who actually got the last chocolate doughnut? On a lighter note, Lynch described Jack as ideal for his movies - he had "zero motivation".
