Martial arts do not an ass kicker make. I have met personally a number of black belts that I have no fear of. Now somebody, drunk, fresh out of prison, with a spider web tattoo, scares me.

Now, Evan, you're scared of Slipknot because they suck, right?  I mean, let's not polish a turd here, those guys are pansies.  Check out the guys from Dimmu Borgir or Borknagar.  There are some fellers capable of kicking ass.

Hmmm, I am afraid of any man who sucks, more than anything.

Wow another good question! Two sound questions, none of which deal with abnormally sized men, kinda makes me feel like river dancin!

The toughest actors are definately the old skool types (in their day)

Charles Bronson - five full feet of vigilante justice

Clint Eastwood - did he fire six shots or only five. Who cares, hell beat you to death with his bare hands.

Audie Murphy - i think being the most decorated soldier in u.s. military history qualifies him as tough

Lee Marvin - tall guy, good reach, skinny guys fight till theyre burger

Judd Nelson - he was f**kin harsh!

Andy Serkis - this guy is a f**king animal! Have you seen deathwatch, he didnt even know he was in a movie!! they just filmed him on a regular stroll through the park and intercut with the rest of the movie. Probably.

Still, this guy has the glassy eyed stare of a psychotic combat vet. hes a killer.

There was a movie magazine that proposed this very question - the number one badass was Steve McQueen- here's a guy who studied under Bruce Lee, did insane stunts in his films, and so forth.

It also mentioned a few that most of you have already named: Vinnie Jones (who plays soccer, favorite ploy when the ref ain't looking is a nut grab of the opponents);
Dolph Lundgren (this guy was not only Grace Jones' bodyguard but he even dated her for a short time);

But the one that REALLY threw me off was Jimmy Stewart! Apparently he had an extremely impressive war record, but he never spoke about it in any interviews.

i can't believe noone's mentioned charlton heston

he may be a bit on the old side nowadays, but he seems like a bloody nutcase!

and jet li is too nice a guy, if you want to be truely tough, you need to be one angry angry person [mind you jet li can whoop ass if he wanted to do some serious damage]

and one person who fits into that category would certainly be sean penn, he has had many a go at journalists [sure he might be wooped by some other stars but in a dirty street fight with scrawny old me? it kinda reminds me of the crazed tribe guy who throws a spear in jim carrey's leg in ace ventura when nature calls!]

another suggestion is grace jones, she scares me...

Now lets put aside the fact he was an intense actor, but did you know he was also an intense drinker? He hired a body guard for when he went drinking.

not to keep people away from him, but to keep HIM away from people. He was a MEAN drunk.
