Was just wondering how many of you had seen Buddy Cooper's "The Mutilator" AKA "Fall Break" from '85.

Was filmed near my home, and I have heard it was quite a successful film when it originally came out.  Just ordered a copy on Ebay, so I don't have to watch the same crappy rental that I've been watching for the last 4 years or so.

I'm thinking about contacting Buddy, to do an interview.  Would love to know more about the flick.

Anyone out there like this film other than me????

I saw THE MUTILATOR a long time ago when I worked in a video store. I don't remember a damned thing about it.

Those were the days. I was the horror/cult/exploitation movie fan in the store, so I got to order all the titles that no one had ever heard of before.

I remember the day that THE WORM EATERS, BLOOD ORGY OF THE SHE-DEVILS and THE CORPSE GRINDERS arrived. The owner of the store looked at them, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Do you think anyone will rent these?"

Yeah, Burgo, I'm a big horror/explotation fan.  Kinda creeps out my wife though, I think.  Which is strange since she likes I Spit On Your Grave....weird.

Anyway, I have heard talk that Cooper wants to remake it.  With my knowledge of film I might actually be able to get in on that.....

I saw this on a double bill with Re-Animator and thought it was an okay little slasher movie (By Knife, By Axe, Bye-bye).  But the friend I saw it with hated the movie with a passion.

I've seen it....I also believe there is a "rated" and "unrated" version.  The unrated version is supposed to be a lot more graphic and gory than the rated one.  I think it has been released on DVD in a foreign country (I remember reading about it on another message board) and I would love to see a release on DVD here in the states.

Yup, I would love to see this film on DVD (germany only has it on DVD at the moment)

It's very very very gory, sometimes painfully.  ~Spoiler~ (IE. The girl with the gaff through the croch and out of the stomach.)
