Just listened to my MISty treatment of Atomic Submarine. First draft,an audio tape of the soundtrack, so i can work on a script. I found many places where the words..."Dear diary, next, i kill the narratior." came to mind. The crawling Terror and Gorgo...okey, in Gorgo, he was a reporter, but to me, he also deserves to be stomped.....have annoying voiceovers. What Narration realy gets Your Goat, and what would you like to hear Happen to the creep. Chainsaws and screams? Tongue being pulled out with a hydrolic winch? Eaten alive by rats? ....use your twisted imaginations......go on, i dare ya'!

If I remember correctly then "Primal Scream" had a lot of useless narration by the main character (he is a PI).  Of course the entire movie is a study in the use of "useless" as an adjective.

In this case I'd like to see the person slowly have moss and stuff grow on them.  Just chain them to a tree in some hellish ancient woods (straight from a Lovecraft story) and let the elder lichens do their work.

I never really knew MST3K as a show, so a friend of mine gave me a tape of them doing "Eeegah!".   The film itself was/is much funnier than the commentary, and several times on the tape I found myself screaming "SHUT UPP!!" to the damn robots, or whatever, as they were talking over some VERY stupid dialogue that I wanted to hear for real.
Genuine wit is rare.  It cannot be syndicated.  Rather, it must occur in the moment.

My friend, you need to catch the bots doing a
far worse film, like "Puma Man".  Then you'll
get the essence of MST3K, grasshopper.

And yes, I know some people hate MST3K...
screw `em, the show is/was overhyped, but
most of the writing is brilliant.

I'm a big fan of MST3K...and I don't know where you get "overhyped"...but, anyway...really bad narration.  Creeping Terror.  Another vile movie aired on MST3K, most of the dialogue is covered by some godlike Narrator entity...maybe the dubbing was really bad and they had to save it...I don't know.  Terrible movie otherwise as well.
