I really diliked both this film and Habit. The thing I hated most was the characters. Rednecks=Evil, liberal city folk=good. Not that I mind typecasting poor white folk, I loved Wrong Turn and all backwoods type movies, but those were fun films, it seemed the director really looks at redneck/hunters with true scorn and contempt. I was actually waiting with great anticipation for the family to bite it. And the Wendigo, as avenger of rich city folk was ridiculous. Shortly after this film I watched Infested, which is a far superior film about rich city types being slaughtered. It was a lot of fun because the director of that knew that they were unlikeable characters and used that in the story. The husband and wife in Wendigo are truly some of the most detestable characters in film history.
