I see.  So drawings of breasts are all right, while pictures of them are not.  Makes sense.

Anyway, did anybody else think "I AM BAYTOR!!" when they saw the clip from LIGHT YEARS.  Anybody?  No?  Oh well.

I haven't seen LIGHT YEARS in, well, years.  I do recall that I couldn't stand it when I was a kid.  What the hell is this cartoon that's not a cartoon?  Watching it a few years later I liked it a lot, and promptly forgot about it.  Maybe I should rent it again.

"Heh heh heh. . . Bueno. . ."

This was one of my favorites as a kid (I actually
saw it at the Nuart, on it's US debut - parents
were into "art films"), & it's been poking
around in my subconscious ever since.
Nice one, Andrew.

I always did wonder how those birds could carry
off that stone city.  Maybe it was a prop stone?

Looking at the review for this fine piece of animation, I'm reminded of an animated film I went to see in the theatres as a small child. It boasted something about being in 3D, althought I don't remember being all that impressed if it in fact was. I think the title was The Legend of Orin, or something similar. Ah well, just adding my two cents.

That would be "Starchaser: The Legend of Orin."

I'd forgotten about the 3-D theatrical release.

I had to think about it for a few moments, but decided that pretty much anyone can draw a pair of breasts.  Though only a few could draw a woman like Jessica Rabbit...

Tempted to put a "Censored" bar over them?  Sure, but they're pretty much harmless and Katie agreed with me.  Don't expect the same for "Heavy Metal" when that review finally arrives though.

Want the kids to be allowed to enjoy this site eh?

Too bad it wasn't around when I was younger. I wasted time getting a job at the local video store so I could move through their massive collection of crap (believe me, I have seen no place like it) and get paid for it.

Hey Andrew -- thanks for reviewing this. I picked up a used copy last night for a few bucks. For years, my boyfriend talked about a 'sequel' to "Fantastic Planet" with naked Blue chicks. Upon reading your review, I knew this had to be what he talked about. And I'd seen a used copy sitting around, but didn't know what it was.

Aside from the fact that every female character was utterly USELESS, and the ending was cheap, I thought it was very good -- not as tight as Fantastic Planet, but better than, say, anything by Bakshi and maybe even a little better than Heavy Metal. Oh, and the Miami Vice sountrack was unbearable.

We watched this with my newly-purchased copy of Troll 2 ...
