In no particular order:

*This Is Spinal Tap
*Young Frankenstein
*Dr. Strangelove
*Little Shop of Horrors (original)
*The Big Lebowski

Oh, and good call, Burgomaster, on Broadway Danny Rose-- Don't know if it's in my top five, but it's definitely a great little overlooked movie.

Strangely enough, the first time I saw BROADWAY DANNY ROSE, I thought it was just an average Woody Allen movie. However, the more I see it, the more I like it. It has so many subtle touches that you need multiple viewings to catch them all. In addition, Woody Allen's supporting cast is always great. He has a knack for casting even the smallest roles with the perfect actors. For instance, in BROADWAY DANNY ROSE, the woman who plays the Italian psychic is perfect. Her part is small, but memorable.

I am a big fan of the great "crooners" and "lounge singers," such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Al Martino, Dean Martin, Jerry Vale, etc. BROADWAY DANNY ROSE captures the essence of that era of music by examining an "almost famous" crooner who had one tacky hit song, and then spent the rest of his life clinging to his one, brief moment of success. And Woody pulls off the story with hilarious results.

I left out all MSTs because they reside in some weird unique limbo between movie & TV -- if I had included them, my list of 5+ would'a been closer to 50.

Oh, and how could I have left out Holy Grail and Spinal Tap.
